Air Power Conference 2018 – Building the Next Generation Air Force
The 2018 Chief of the Air Staff’s Air Power Conference will take place on 11-12 July 2018 and will be a highlight of a week of events celebrating the Royal Air Force’s Centenary in London. Senior Government Ministers, RAF senior officers, business leaders and up to 60 international air chiefs will attend the Conference, the theme of which will be ‘Building the Next Generation Air Force’. The Conference will reveal emerging opportunities in the air, space and artificial intelligence spheres and will examine the challenges that air forces will face – technologically, structurally and doctrinally – as the Royal Air Force embarks on its second century. Confirmed speakers include: the Royal Air Force’s Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Sir Stephen Hillier; Air Marshal Stuart Atha (Deputy Commander Operations); Air Vice-Marshal Simon ‘Rocky’ Rochelle (Chief of Staff Capability); Air Commodore Roddy Dennis (UK Air Component Commander); Nigel Whitehead (Group Managing Director, Programmes & Support, BAE Systems): Lt Col David ‘Chip’ Berke (USMC retd).
